Honest answers and straight talk from someone you can trust who isn’t just trying to get you to buy more bags of seed. And we won’t make promises we can’t keep. What we will do is help you sort through your seed options and find the right mix of hybrids and traits for your field.

Side by side, season after season: The history of Renze

For over 70 years, Renze Seeds has been allying with growers across the Midwest. Since day one, we’ve had an on-the-level approach of delivering straightforward answers on the latest technology and innovations in farming.

The seed company was started in 1939 by Joe Renze. His son, Cyril, would eventually lead the company for decades. In fact, we’re proud to say he is one of the longest-running, active seedsmen in the business. Through Cyril’s leadership in industry organizations like the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) and several state seed organizations in Iowa, he’s helped build a growing seed business that has improved Midwest farmers’ production and yields. Cyril’s sons, Tim and Jeff Renze, represent the third generation of the family working in the industry.

In 2008, Renze was bought by Dow AgroSciences. The purchase joined the Renze tradition of standout service with the global research power and support of Dow AgroSciences, a partnership that continues to grow today.
