LibertyLink® hybrids allow broadcast over the top applications of Ignite® or Liberty® herbicide from emergence through the V7 stage of growth (7 developed leaf collars) and to 24" to 36" corn with drop nozzles. The active ingredient in Ignite® and Liberty® is Glufosinate-ammonium. It is a non-selective herbicide that is effective on a wide range of grass and broadleaf weeds including some of the most difficult to control such as velvetleaf, cocklebur, pigweed, waterhemp, lambsquarter, wooly cupgrass and shattercane. There is no herbicde carryover with the Ignite® or Liberty® weed control programs. Rapid absorption primarily through the leaves of the plant results in fast broadleaf and grass control in three to five days. We recommend LibertyLink® hybrids for HERCULEX® refuges. Due to various genetic causes, up to a 1-3% stand loss can result when Ignite® or Liberty® herbicide is sprayed on LibertyLink® hybrids.
